Ich kann nur für meinen NUC sprechen, der auch nur die Notebook-Technik nutzt, doch die Unterstützung in Linux ist total sauber und läuft alles ohne Probleme bei mir. Da machst du nichts falsch, wenn du auf Intel CPU nebst iGPU setzt.

Die integrierte Intel-Grafik läuft mit einem halbwegs aktuellen Kernel out-of-the-box, kein separates Treibergefrickel notwendig.
