Seit einiger Zeit können manche Funktionen vom "Video DownloadHelper" nicht mehr ohne weiteres in Anspruch genommen werden. Der Grund liegt hierbei bei den neuen Browser-Versionen, die Add-ons vor allem hinsichtlich der Berechtigung, auf den Zielrechner schreiben zu dürfen, beschränken.

Nun steht mit der "Companion App" eine Software zum Download bereit, durch die eben dieses Problem behoben wird.

Ich versuche schon eine ganze Zeit die sog. Companion App in meinen Firefox Browser zu integrieren.

Leider klappt das nicht.

Von der DownloadHelper Seite habe ich dies versucht.

Download for Linux

All you need to do is run this command in a terminal:

curl -sSLf https://github.com/aclap-dev/vdhc…load/install.sh | bash

Ich erhalte dann aber diese Meldung:

Die net.downloadhelper.coapp -1.6.3-1_386.tar.gz habe ich heruntergeladen.

Im Terminal muss ich das Passwort eingeben, leider habe ich das nicht verfügbar, vergessen.

nach dem Update von Lubuntu 22.04 auf 24.04 erhalte ich bezüglich meiner 1 TB externer Festplatte folgende Meldung:

Das Einbinden von 931,5 GB Wecjselmedium ist fehlgeschlagen.
Die angegebene Operation ist fehlgeschlagen.

missing codepage or helper program, or other error

Die Festplatte hat vor dem Update problemlos funktioniert, jetzt nicht mehr.Bitte helfen Sie mir, was ist zu tun?
Leider bin ich eher Laie was Linux betrifft.

Ein USB- Stick mit 1 GB funktioniert.
