How to remove this two apps?, Rhino Linux

  • keos October 19, 2024 at 6:20 PM

Changed the title of the thread from “How to remove this two apps, Rhino Linux” to “How to remove this two apps?, Rhino Linux”.
  • I found one of them, the left panel, it is called 'plank' ... BUT:

keos@kaos $ LANG=C sudo apt remove --purge plank
    [sudo] password for keos:
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

    Unsatisfied dependencies:
rhino-core : Depends: unicorn-desktop but it is not installable
Error: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.
    keos@kaos $

    Any idea?

    Thanks

  • One of the apps is called Firefox, its the app with the orange fox around the purpil center

I don`t know the name of the other app.
But when you move your cursor over the symbol of the app, maybe the name will be showed

  • I'm no Rhino user, but this worked for me:

    1. pacstall -R firefox-bin
    2. pacstall -R rhino-setup-bin

I think, you can't uninstall 'plank', but you can disable autostart of plank dock, by deleting or renaming ~/.config/autostart/plank_dock.desktop.
