Bazzite ist aber eine 'immutable' Distro.
Hilf mir mal bitte, ich kenne den Begriff "immutable" (noch) nicht. Wie es so schön in internationalen Foren heißt: "Please advise".
Wenn ich es direkt übersetzen würde dann wirklich es auf mich als "kann nicht verstummt werden.." aber was hat das mit einer Linuxdistribution zu tun? (mute = stumm)
Eine unveränderliche Distribution (immutable distro) ist ein Betriebssystem, das so konzipiert ist, dass sein Kernsystem nicht verändert werden kann, nachdem es installiert wurde. Stell dir vor, dein Betriebssystem wäre wie ein Buch, das nur gelesen und nicht verändert werden kann. 📖
Wenn du Updates oder neue Software installieren möchtest, werden diese nicht direkt in das bestehende System geschrieben. Stattdessen wird im Grunde eine neue Version des Systems erstellt, die dann das alte ersetzt. Das macht das System stabiler und sicherer, da es weniger anfällig für Fehler durch versehentliche Änderungen oder schädliche Software ist. Ein tolles Beispiel hierfür ist Fedora Silverblue.
Ich hatte mir Bazzite 42 auf den Ventoy-Stick gepackt und wollte es mir gestern Abend mal anschauen. Dann musste ich aber auf der Webseite lesen, dass Bazzite nicht vom Ventoy-Stick funktioniert.

Hinzu kam, dass man wohl mit Dual-Boot etwas aufpassen muss, um sein anderes Betriebssystem, in meinem Fall Windows 11, nicht zu überschreiben. Man solle die komplette Platte abklemmen.

Habe dann bei Fedora Kinoite nachgeschaut und dort steht auch explizit, dass das nicht im Dual-Boot funktioniert.

Der Aufwand war mir dann doch etwas zu hoch und riskieren wollte ich den Verlust meiner Windows 11 Installation dann nicht unbedingt.
